Demo data accounts are live, the database isn't. Every run below is seeded and nothing saves. Add your Supabase keys to .env.local to make it real (see SETUP.md § Supabase).

RunLocke is a free, fan-made tool for tracking Pokémon challenge runs. This page is the whole deal — written to be read, not scrolled past.

Terms of use

RunLocke is provided free of charge, as-is, with no warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it accurate and online, but runs, data and uptime are not guaranteed — keep your own backups of anything you can't lose.

Be a decent member of the community: no harassment or hateful content in usernames, run titles, epitaphs or comments; no spam; no scraping at volumes that degrade the site; no attempting to break authentication or access other people's private data. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules, and may change or discontinue features. Material changes to these terms will be dated at the top of this page.

Moderation: public text is filtered for abusive language before it posts, and anything that slips through can be flagged with the 🚩 Report option on run pages (or via the feedback form) — reports are reviewed by a person. RunLocke has no private messaging between users, by design: every conversation happens in public comments where the rules above apply and everyone can see them.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to create an account.

Privacy

What we store: your account (email and username, handled by Clerk), your profile (username, display name, bio), and what you create — runs, logged Pokémon, badges, cheers, comments, follows and feedback. Runs, profiles and social activity are public by design; that's what makes them shareable. Save files in Storage are private to you.

Who processes it: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database and file storage) and Vercel (hosting, which keeps standard server logs). We don't run advertising, analytics trackers or sell data to anyone. The only cookies are the session cookies Clerk needs to keep you signed in.

Deleting your stuff: you can delete your own runs, comments and files at any time. To delete your whole account and everything attached to it, ask via the feedback form and we'll remove it.

Your content

Your runs, epitaphs and comments are yours. By posting them you give RunLocke a non-exclusive licence to host and display them — that's the licence that makes public run pages, the feed, the Hall of Fame and team boards work, and it ends when you delete the content.

Pokémon & intellectual property

Pokémon, Pokémon character names and sprites are © Nintendo, Creatures Inc. and GAME FREAK inc. RunLocke is an unofficial fan project: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them, and claims no rights over their material. Sprite and species data are used non-commercially, for identification, in the way the fan community has long used them. Everything Pokémon-related on this site is available to everyone for free — nothing of theirs sits behind any payment.

"Nuzlocke" and the challenge-run formats described in the docs are community-coined conventions; the docs describe them for players and claim no ownership of them.

Donations

If RunLocke ever shows a "buy us a coffee" link, it is exactly that: a voluntary tip toward hosting costs. Donations buy nothing — no features, no badges, no priority, and never access to any Pokémon content. They are not purchases and not refundable. The site stays identical whether you donate or not.

Contact & takedowns

Questions, complaints, data-deletion requests, or a rights holder who wants something removed: use the feedback form. Takedown requests from rights holders are honoured promptly — identify the material and the right you hold, and it comes down while we review.
